CHRISTOF JOHN

Within the Artist-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host artist Christof John, born in 1984 in Hannover, Germany. John’s works respond to the constantly changing vision between close-up and distant views with a "never-ending picture", as he himself characterises his practice. Just as image impression follows image impression, varying sequences of the grids and colour combinations on which a work is based alternate, describing both a certain order and its constantly mutating change. Christof currently lives and works between Cologne and Berlin and will be staying in Studio Verde during October 2023.
