LAURA SCHAWELKA

Within the Artists-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host the artist Laura Schawelka. Born in 1988 in Munich, Germany, Schawelka studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, completing her studies there in 2013 as a master student. In 2015, she received a Master of Fine Arts at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles. She moved to Paris in 2017 with a studio grant from the Hessische Kulturstiftung. Laura currently lives and works in Berlin and will be staying in Studio Azul during October 2022.
