ALMUDENA LOBERA

Within the Artist-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host artist Almudena Lobera. Born in 1984 in Madrid, Spain, she holds a BA and MA from the Complutense University of Madrid. Almudena uses all kinds of artistic mediums to express herself, ranging from drawing to performance, sculpture and installation. She works particularly with human perception, and how we can find visual solutions to construction problems. She pays close attention to the places she works in and plays with their social, cultural and political contexts. She likes to weave them into a narrative that questions the relationship between reality and post-produced image. She currently lives and works in Belgium and will be staying in Studio Rojo during July 2023.
