Gelare Khoshgozaran

Within the Artist-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host the artist Gelare Khoshgozaran. Born in 1986 in Tehran, Iran, Khoshgozaran studied Photography at the University of Arts in Tehran in 2009 and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2011. By the use of video and writing, she undertakes a committed artistic work. She films and studies situations of war and militarized violence to understand and witness in which way they affect our sense of home. Gelare has been pursuing a very active artistic career since 2009, especially developed in the US, with many films and publications. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles, and will be staying in Studio Amarillo during September 2023.

Frauke Dannert

Within the Artist-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host the artist Frauke Dannert. Born in 1979 in Herdecke, Germany, Dannert studied Fine Arts in Münster, Düsseldorf and finally London, where she obtained her Master in 2011.
Her work revolves around the technique of collages she experiment in a variety of ways. She even extends it to in-situ installations or projections. By the use of various shapes and illusions, she questions our perception of architecture and materiality. Frauke currently lives and works in Cologne and will be staying in Studio Verde during September 2023.

Bianca Pedrina

Within the Artist-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host the artist Bianca Pedrina. Born in 1985 in Basel, Switzerland, Pedrina studied Fine Arts in Hochschule der Künste Bern and Städelschule Frankfurt am Main in Germany from 2006 to 2011. She explores photography like a plastic medium and works to connect her shots with spaces through collages, materiality and installations.
Her aesthetics are clean and straightforward. Bianca started her career in 2008 and exposed mostly in Switzerland, Austria and Germany since then. She currently lives and works in Basel, Switzerland, and will be staying in Studio Azul during September 2023.

Andreas Werner

Within the Artist-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host the artist Andreas Werner. Born in 1984 in Merseburg an der Saale, Germany, Werner studied nine years in Wien and obtained a diploma with mention from the graphic and print class of Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien in 2012. He works mostly on drawings around the topics of utopia in spaces and fictional landscapes, with a precise use of graphic and paint technics. Between graphic clarity and ambiguity, the unique atmosphere of his drawings is captivating. Andreas currently lives and works in Wien and Unterolberndorf in Austria, and will be staying in Studio Rojo during September 2023.
