Echoes of a Mediterranean Spring

Spring marks a moment of renewal, when the world reawakens and a gentle sense of vitality fills our spirits. As landscapes shift and light grows brighter, there is a perceptible change not only in the environment but also in human perception: a renewed openness, an attentiveness to presence, and a heightened awareness of the ephemeral. Across centuries, this seasonal transformation has remained a fertile source of inspiration for artists working in all kinds of fields, drawn to its rhythms of emergence, growth, and transience.

CCA Andratx presents Echoes of a Mediterranean Spring, a group exhibition that brings together works by Helene Appel, Kathe Burkhart, Almudena Lobera, Antonio Moreno Ballester, Payer Gabriel, Blair Saxon-Hill, Liddy Scheffknecht, Christine Schulz, and Jason Stopa. Each of the participating artists has taken part in CCA’s Artist-in-Residence Program, an experience that has allowed them to forge a close connection with the island: its shifting atmospheres, daily rhythms, and surrounding landscape. This direct encounter with place becomes a subtle yet persistent thread throughout the exhibition.
