Born in 1978 in Denmark, Erlund received her BA Fine Art degree with honours in 2003 from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London. She researches architecture as a synonym for the human body and mind, creating sculptures, installations and complex soundscapes, which deal with the central theme of transition and understanding the world through the irrational mind. Sophie currently lives and works in Berlin.
Mark Pozlep

Born in 1981 in Celje, Slovenia, Kent graduated in 2006 from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he also received his MA degree from the Department of Video in 2009. In 2019, he graduated from HISK in Ghent, Belgium. He is a storyteller acutely aware of the sensitive nature of the materials he turns into stories, which he effortlessly interprets using whatever media of presentation, giving primary consideration to image vs. video, performance vs. play and classical gallery displays vs. theatre staging. Mark currently lives and works in Ghent.
Josep Maynou

Born in 1980 in Barcelona, Maynou studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona, Faculta de Belas Artes Porto in Porto and Middlesex University in London. His multidisciplinary approach comes together as a form of contemporary storytelling that situates itself beyond the traditional art formats, often leading to installations in places such as TV repair shops, private apartments, abandoned spaces, laundromats or second-hand stores. Josep currently lives and works between Paris and Berlin and will be staying in Studio Azul.
Igor Eskinja
Within the Artists-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host the artist Igor Eskinja. Born in 1975 in Rijeka, Croacia, Eskinja studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. He constructs his architectonics of perception as ensembles of modesty and elegance and ‘performs’ the objects and situations, catching them in their intimate and silent transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional formal appearance. Igor currently lives and works in Rijeka.
