Artists in residence, July 2018

Micha Payer and Martin Gabriel

Within the Artists-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host Micha Payer and Martin Gabriel. Born in respectively Wolfsberg in 1979 and in Linz in 1976, Payer and Gabriel studied at the Schule für künstlerische Photographie Wien (2000-2001), Akademie der bildenden Künste, Wien (2001-2003) and the Universität für angewandte Kunst, Wien (2001-2006). Currently, they live and work in Vienna, Austria and will be staying in the Studio Amarillo during July 2018.

Özlem Altin

Within the Artists-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host Özlem Altin. Born in Goch, Germany, in 1977, Altin studied at Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem, NL (2000-2003) and Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam, NL (2004-2006). Currently, she lives and works in Berlin, Germany, and will be staying in the Studio Azul during July 2018.

Peter Jellitsch

Within the Artists-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host Peter Jellitsch. Born in Villach, Austria, in 1982, Jellitsch studied at Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna (2003-2010) and at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna (2005-2006). Currently, he lives and works in Vienna, Austria and will be staying in the Studio Verde during
July 2018.

Jakob Steen

Within the Artists-in-Residence Program, CCA is delighted to host Jakob Steen. Jakob Steen was born in Cambridge, UK, in 1986 and he is currently living and working in Copenhagen, Denmark. He will be staying in the Studio Verde during March 2018.

“My paintings revolve around a specific state of mind. The now determines the state, and my work is a direct translation of that. The viewer is often lured by lush exotic landscapes or recognizable beings. However these are mere shells and gateways into a space” - Jakob Steen.
